Out of 23, 14 patients needed to be taken to the hospital and only one had to be given oxygen support. Out of these 23 patients, 10 were already vaccinated, but they had an infection of omicron. 10 patients had been infected with the Delta variant in the previous wave yet succumbed to omicrons.

Lead scientist Alex Sigal said after the research that people infected with delta can have an infection of omicron, but patients can't have delta infection after having an omicron. However, this is possible only if the patient is fully vaccinated.
